Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations specialising in the comprehensive prevention, control and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable and underprivileged populations.

We increasingly find our work on malaria can be effectively integrated with other similar public health interventions for greater impact and therefore expanded our remit to include child health and neglected tropical disease interventions.

The Malaria Technical Advisor will lead the technical direction of the project working closely with technical specialist to provide technical support on malaria prevention and vector control at the central level and departmental level

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Malariology, Public Health, Entomology, or related field
  • Experience in planning, implementation, data management, of a large, multi-country, multi-year projects
  • Experience organising and working with teams to produce high-quality deliverables
  • At least five years’ experience of working in malaria prevention and vector control programmes
  • Experience and understanding of health systems strengthening

Person Specification, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Significant years’ experience in similar role
  • Good supervisory, inter-personal, communication and planning skills


  • Proven previous experience in office management
  • Possess good understanding, knowledge and experience in document control and management

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good Attention to detail
