Job Description

The Job

  • The appointee will be required to manage all security investigations and the cycle of intelligence activities and operations, including analysis and production of early warning reports on specific security threats that may impact on NLNG assets and operations company-wide.

Requirements
The right candidate should:

  • Possess a University Degree with a minimum of ci Second Class Lower Division
  • Seven (7) years past-graduation experience with at least five (5) years of Service in the Department of State Services or any other Government Security Intelligence Agency.
  • Must have attained the position of an officer not below the rank of Captain or its equivalent in the required Service
  • Experience in the required function in a reputable organisation, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Possession of relevant professional certification (e.g. ASIS CPP or PCI, CSMP) will be an added advantage.
  • Not be more than 45 years old as at 30th June, 2016.

  Job Vacancy: Security Advisor Marine in Bayelsa, Nigeria

 Job Description:

The appointee will be required to ensure implementation of security strategies which will result in minimal risks to NLNG assets in shipping operations and the port facility

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Participate in the formulation, update and implementation of the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) with the appropriate Ship Security Officers.
  • Support the PFSO in maintaining continuous ship shore interface and coordinate night sail operations; ensuring the availability of security personnel in line with current security level.
  • Participate in the development of and Implement access control strategy for the port facility i.e
    • Loading/passenger jetties, vessels in line with the Port Facility security Plan and ensure the close supervision of the security personnel operation the access control systems.
  • Act as security advisor to BGT and NSML operations and maintain liaison with NLNG to ensure proper alignment and implementation of security strategies.
  • Responsible for conducting and updating security risk assessments of all NSML and BGT assets as part of security management system and supervise the operations of the Marine Police and Navy personnel in ensuring that the channel and the jetties’ exclusion zones are maintained for the arrival and departure of vessels at the terminal.
  • Carry out HSSE Critical Activities as defined in the relevant bowties to ensure the effectiveness of control barriers.
  • Organize security awareness programs for the Port facility security personnel and support the PFSO in the implementation of the PFSP with appropriate Company Security Officers.
  • Maintain liaison with the Contracting Government Agency – NIMASA, in ensuring that exchange of information as required under the ISPS Code is implemented and maintain liaison with the local government security agencies (NPF, SSS, NDLEA, Customs, Port Health and Immigration), as well as, security depts. of sister companies in monitoring the general security situation especially as it affects the waterway.

Job Vacancy: Manager, Corporate Security Services (Css) in Lagos, Nigeria

 Job Description

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Exchange intelligence/information with National and International security agencies, shareholders, Oil & Gas Industry, technical advisors and embassies and ensure proper coordination of activities especially during security emergencies.
2. Oversee the development and maintenance of security strategies, policies and plans in all locations to ensure adequate protection of Company and third party assets including Contractors.

4. Coordinate the activities of the Joint Industry Security Subcommittee in Bonny (NLNG, SPDC & Mobil), particularly the activities of the Government Security Agencies to achieve a common/unified approach to Security challenges.
5. Oversees marine security activities in NLNG to ensure safety and security in the terminal and channel, give assurance to Fleet Managers, Insurance providers, marine contractors and other stakeholders as well as meet statutory local and international maritime security requirements
6. Carry out HSSE Critical Activities as defined in the relevant bowties to ensure the effectiveness of control barriers
7. Oversee Company security risk management by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and to evolve effective proactive strategies in mitigating various risks to the business and enable top management take informed decisions.
8. Ensuring adequate cover by FG security agencies to enable continuous operation of the Company, interfacing with Naval and JTF Commanders to ensure provision of the required resources by advocating NLNG needs at the highest levels.

Job Vacancy: FINANCE OFFICER in Rivers, Nigeria

Job Description:

Process NSML monthly payroll and ensure that staff and seafarers’ salaries and allowances are paid in a timely manner.

Provide timely financial services to NSML management and participate as required in initiatives to drive improvement in the company.

Process, in liaison with NLNG’s Treasury Department, NSML monthly payroll for shipboard and office based staff including payroll reconciliation and attending to post-poyroll queries.

Maintain an up-to-date ‘Employee Records and Statistics’ for NSML fleet manpower and produce employee reports as well as maintain records for shore-based personnel, including shipboard officers on shore assignments.

Manage the NSML financial databases and ensure the financial integrity of the ledger. Manage the interface between the company’s enterprise management systems (Shipmate and SAP Systems) and ensure accuracy of financial data in both systems.

Perform cost control and allocation functions for NSML. Review the basis and computation of claims and proper coding of transactions, this includes the registration of invoices for NSML and other claims in line with processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

Liaise with NLNG Tax Department on all matters relating to NSML tax. Follow up on PAVE tax and company tax clearance certificates and ensure the timely filing of statutory remittances in line with stated timelines .. Also ensure the filing of annual tax returns as and when due.

Coordinate the external auditors’ interim and annual statutory audits of NSML and ensure a smooth audit process. Produce all the schedules as may be required by the auditors, investigate and respond to all audit queries. Resolution. of external audit issues and other enquiries (pre and post-audit).
