Umar Farouq Counts Gains As 5000 Receive FG Rural Women’s Cash Grant In Abuja. It (Rural Women Grant) is consistent with the President’s, now national, vision of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years. It is designed to provide a one-off grant to some of the poorest and most vulnerable women in rural and peri-urban areas of the country.

The Special Cash Grant for Rural Women Programme being flagged off today was introduced this year 2021 by the Ministry as part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s social inclusion and poverty reduction agenda, including the realisation of the national aspiration of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years.

“It is designed to provide a one-off grant to some of the poorest and vulnerable women in Nigeria” she stated.

Farouq enjoined the beneficiaries of the programme to make good use of the opportunity to increase their income, enhance their food security and contribute towards improving their standard.

Our target in FCT is to disburse the grant to about 5,000 beneficiaries across the 6 Area Councils. The grant is expected to increase income and productive assets of target beneficiaries” HM @Sadiya_farouq

FG Special Cash Grant Registration 2021 Eligibility/Requirements

For employers of FG Special Cash Grant

  • All the beneficiaries companies must be registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • Must have staff capacity of not less than 3 persons,
  • All the eligible enterprises must be owned by a Nigerian and located in Nigeria.
  • Must have BVN.

Self-Employed Individuals in the following categories

  • Service Providers in the transportation sector, i.e bus drivers, taxi drivers, ride share drivers (Uber, Bolt. etc) and Mechanics.
  • Artisans: Electricians, Plumbers, etc.

All registration will continue till Thursday 15 October, 2021 (first batch), and from 4th December, 2021 for Second Batch

FG Special Cash Grant Registration Schedule/Timetable 2021

  • Registration for Payroll Support will start with educational institutions on Monday and will be followed with businesses in the hospitality industry on Friday, September 25 beginning from 12 A.M.
  • The portal will also be open to other categories of small businesses from 12 AM., on Monday, September 28, 2021
